My love for gameplay programming is rooted in my innate impulse to tinker. It wasn’t until later on, once I appreciated my drive to create entertaining experiences for others, I found that I wanted to make video games!
I studied Physics at the University of Birmingham to fuel my curiosity for the ‘whys’, behind every ‘how’. This gave me a strong set of analytical skills… from mapping Chaos in the Solar System to constructing vector spaces that allow us to comprehend the world of Quantum Mechanics. I received answers but ultimately my degree taught me the best methods to seek my own; it gave me a set of underlying axioms that underpin a unique approach to developing solutions… all supported by fundamental knowledge of advanced maths and physics.
Since graduating, I work developing games. I’ve applied myself across the full extent of the development pipeline.
I specialise in programming, focusing on gameplay elements.
I have a passion for constructing experiences I can share with others.
p.s. a bit more
There are so many great games to play… too many for any lifetime! Fortunately I started gaming young, always looking for something unique, exciting or just interesting so I tend towards playing lots of different genres. I enjoy the act of experiencing a game and exploring what each offers particularly sandbox, simulation and adventure games. It’s about exploration coupled with the freedom to influence your own experience.
